‘ROMA BY NIGHT’ — my tribute to Rome
I was born in Syracuse, Sicily. When I was seven, my father moved our family to Rome in search of better working opportunities. I lived there for around forty years: years of energy and freedom, but also of responsibility and work. Rome still feels tattooed on my skin.
Now that I live and work in London, that attachment remains. When I decided to create my personal tribute to the city, my imagination went straight to the Colosseum.
I passed it countless times, sometimes stopping simply to look. Its familiar silhouette became the starting point for a piece of architecture I could translate into a ring.

The design
Roma by Night reinterprets the Colosseum’s concentric galleries through a rounded, sculptural silver form. It carries my memory of the building rather than reproducing it literally.
ROMA and Roma by Night
Roma by Night developed from my earlier ROMA design. Roma has a more angular form and no gallery beneath the main design. Roma by Night has softer contours, thinner sections and an added gallery, allowing scope for a version with precious stones.
They share the same inspiration, while offering two different interpretations of the Colosseum.

Each ring is made to order in Argentium silver 940, proportionally scaled to your chosen size and finished by hand in my London workshop.
