Refund and Returns
I want you to feel confident choosing Guzzardi Jewellery. If your piece is not right for you, you can request a return using the process below.
This return policy also covers pieces made to order and rings made in your chosen size.
Changing Your Mind
You can cancel your online purchase without giving a reason.
There are two separate deadlines:
Notify me within 14 days, starting the day after you receive your jewellery.
Send the jewellery back within 14 days of notifying me that you wish to cancel.
These are calendar days, including weekends.
Change-of-mind requests made after the notification period fall outside this policy, unless a longer period applies by law. This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty or not as described.
How to Arrange a Return
Email contact@guzzardi.co.uk with:
Your name.
Your order number or other proof of purchase.
Details of the piece you wish to return.
A clear statement that you wish to cancel your purchase.
You do not need to explain why you have changed your mind.
I will provide the return address and packing instructions. Please contact me before posting your jewellery, so it reaches the correct address.
Your cancellation does not depend on receiving approval from me. Keep a copy of your cancellation message and proof of return postage.
Trying On Your Jewellery
You may gently try on your jewellery to check its fit and appearance, as you would in a shop.
If you decide to return it:
Avoid wearing it beyond what is needed to inspect it.
Do not resize, engrave or otherwise alter it.
Protect it from scratches and damage.
Return any accessories supplied with the piece.
Use the original packaging where possible, or suitable protective packaging.
Opening the packaging or carefully trying on your jewellery does not prevent you from returning it.
If handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the piece reduces its value, a proportionate deduction may be made from the refund. Any deduction will be explained.
There is no restocking fee for an eligible change-of-mind return.
Return Postage
For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for the cost of sending the jewellery back. This includes pieces made to order and rings made in your chosen size.
Please package the piece securely. I recommend a tracked postal service with appropriate cover for its value, and keeping your postage receipt.
If the jewellery is faulty, damaged on arrival or not as described, I will cover the necessary return postage. Please contact me to arrange this.
Refunds
For a change-of-mind return, I will issue your refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after:
Receiving the jewellery back; or
Receiving evidence that you have sent it back.
The deadline runs from whichever of these happens first.
Refunds will be made using your original payment method unless we expressly agree otherwise. You will not be charged a fee for receiving the refund.
Your bank or payment provider may need additional time to display the funds in your account.
Original Delivery Charges
If you cancel and return your whole order, I will also refund any standard delivery charge you paid.
If you chose a more expensive delivery option, the additional cost above standard delivery is not refundable for a change-of-mind return.
Where UK delivery was included free of charge, there is no separate delivery payment to refund. No outbound postage charge will be deducted retrospectively from your refund.
Made-to-Order and Made-to-Size Jewellery
Your piece remains eligible for this return policy even when I have made it to order or produced it in your chosen ring size.
The same notification deadlines, return procedure and postage arrangements apply.
Wrong Size or Exchanges
If your ring does not fit, please contact me. Depending on the design, an adjustment or a replacement in another size may be possible.
I will explain the available options, any costs and the expected timing before you agree to proceed.
Discussing an adjustment or exchange does not remove your right to request a return within the applicable cancellation period. If you wish to cancel, please state this clearly within that period.
Bespoke and Personalised Jewellery
Jewellery created to a customer’s individual specifications or clearly personalised, including specially commissioned designs and engraved pieces, may be excluded from the statutory 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
This exception does not automatically apply to standard Guzzardi Jewellery collection designs made to order in standard ring sizes.
Where the exception applies, customers will be informed before placing their order.
This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please contact me if your jewellery:
Arrives damaged.
Has a fault.
Is not the piece you ordered.
Does not match its description.
Include your order details and a description of the issue. Photographs are helpful where available.
I will explain the next steps and provide the remedy required by your statutory rights. Depending on the circumstances, this may include a refund, repair or replacement.
Necessary return postage for faulty, damaged-on-arrival or misdescribed goods will be covered by Guzzardi.
The 14-day change-of-mind deadline does not limit your statutory rights concerning faulty or misdescribed goods.
Cancelling Before Delivery
You can contact me to cancel before your jewellery is delivered. You do not have to wait for it to arrive before notifying me.
If the parcel has already been dispatched, I will explain how to return it. Please do not rely solely on refusing delivery as notification of cancellation.
International Orders
The change-of-mind return policy described above also applies to international online orders.
Please contact me before sending an international return so I can provide the return address and relevant parcel instructions.
Import duties or taxes paid directly to a customs authority are not payments collected by Guzzardi. Any reclaim may need to be requested from the relevant authority.
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply to your purchase.
