Chain Cloth — a woven silver ring inspired by texture

Some of my designs arrive without a plan. I sit down to draw with nothing particular in mind, and suddenly a design is looking back at me.

Chain Cloth was one of those moments. It is always a wonderful day when this happens.

The appearance of fabric, expressed in silver

The ring’s closely repeating pattern recalls woven fabric and fine metal mesh. Shaped into a band, the textured surface gives Chain Cloth its distinctive character.

The woven appearance is created through 3D design and casting, followed by hand-finishing. It brings the visual rhythm of a textile into Argentium silver.

For those drawn to detail, Chain Cloth offers a silver statement ring whose character lies in its intricate surface.

Made to your size in London

Each Argentium silver ring is made to order in your chosen size. I scale the design proportionally using 3D technology, then hand-finish the cast piece in my London workshop.
