Motocross — a tyre tread ring inspired by two wheels
In the eighties and nineties, I often called myself a centaur. I grew up on two wheels!
Throughout my childhood, bicycles were my only means of transport. Then came a 50cc scooter, followed by motorcycles with increasingly larger engines. Eventually, yet another accident persuaded me to exchange two wheels for something more stable: a car—or, better still, a bus, train or the Underground.
These days I am considerably calmer. But I still remember those years with great affection, including the brief period when I tried motocross.
A motorcycle tyre ring with a personal story
Motocross reproduces the tread of the rear tyre of a motocross bike from the eighties.
This silver biker ring is my tribute to a passion that gave me more excitement—and more broken bones—than anything else in my life. The pattern carries memories of those days into a piece of jewellery for anyone who shares a love of motorcycles.
Made to your size in Argentium silver
Each Motocross ring is made to order in Argentium silver 940. I use 3D design to scale its proportions to your chosen size, then hand-finish the cast piece in my London workshop.
Your ring is hallmarked at the London Assay Office and presented in Guzzardi packaging. Please allow 2–3 weeks for production, with free UK delivery.
